Sharpen your fraud fighting skills
The ACFE Edmonton Chapter hosts professional development sessions throughout the year in addition to ad-hoc special training sessions and the annual Edmonton Fraud Conference.
All professional development sessions for the 2024 calendar year will be hosted through on-line webinars. The chapter is seeking to host 6 webinars (6 CPE) between January 2024 and December 2024. The cost of webinars will vary, however members who pre-purchase the $200 membership and professional development package will have access to all the chapter webinars. For further details, please view our membership page. Other special events are announced throughout the year such as the Fraud Prevention Month conference and the Fraud Prevention Month Launch Day. All events are posted on the Edmonton Chapter website and members are notified in advance of all professional development sessions. Our goal is to ensure our members are provided high-caliber professional development opportunities, and are able to obtain enough Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits to maintain their Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential. CFE’s must earn at least 20 hours of CPE every 12-month period. At least 10 of these hours must relate directly to the detection and deterrence of fraud and 2 hours must relate directly to ethics.
